"We are a missionary band"
"Love the LORD your God, and serve him with all your heart and with all your soul." Deuteronomy 11:13
Tomorrow we are leaving for Guyana South America to serve as missionaries at Davis Indian Industrial College for one month. It is a Seventh-day Adventist school located near the village of Paruima.
My friend James Ash, his wife Joy and daughter Jenna have been serving there as missionaries for several years. They invited us to check it out and see if that is where God is leading us. Wherever He leads we will follow!
Since Brandtley made the flight reservations just over a month ago, we have been busy packing and rushing here and there getting things together for our trip. 7 bags later and I think (I hope) we have everything that we will need! I guess we will see when we get there… Along with all the preparations there has been some stress, but there is greater peace knowing that we are doing the will of our Father that has sent us.
The girls are super excited! Eden and Teagan keeps singing “we are a missionary band” over and over! Kailah can tell something is going on but is not quite sure what yet.
After 16 hours of travel time just to get to Georgetown, and another 200 miles deep into the jungle in the bush plane, I know we will have an amazing experience that we will never forget!
And I am sure there will be many, many things to be thankful for when we return HOME on May 12.
We have been praying everyday that we will be a blessing and that everyone we come in contact with will see Jesus in us and most of all His LOVE.
Please pray for us and with us as we serve our Heavenly Father in Guyana!
